Ok since people are determined to test me

, I'll shoot at that too.
Virtually all transmissions contain plastic speedo gears, plastic thrust bushings and newer transmissions actually contain electronic components. We all know how plastic likes heat. Now some will argue that trannys get hot when running and it doesn't hurt them.(true) When hot and dry it's a whole different set of variables on the materials than flooded with oil. As for venting-- sure remember to put vents on the torque converter input, the axle shaft or drive shaft outpus, the dipstick opening, the cooler lines, the modulator mount port and I almost forgot the case vent itself.(which is made of plastic also) I'm sure I'm overlooking items but for a high quality job that you can charge alot for--strip it and do it right. It's gonna pay off when you see the finished product.
