I work with ceramic on a regular basis
you must achive a thick coat before curring or you can sand trough the coat polishing and you'll have to start all over again.
after cured you can treat it like polishing a piece of aluminum
I use a vibratory then hand polish it with a buffer .
vibratory has the advatage of getting into hard to reach areas and it's fast 10-15 minutes

after cured you can polish it any time you need to
I some times cured all parts on monday and polish the last one on friday
you won't have any problems sending it by mail.
