Default Re: First time spay booth

#1 - What is the best thing to line it with so the powder can be recovered and easy clean up?

I used foil covered insulation board (it was cheap) and the powder clings to the foil (it's conductive and touches ground lead).

#2 - I have installed a threaded 1/2" rod across the top to hang things on. What is the best method of hanging objects so they can be turned for coverage and then taken out to place in oven?

Caswell sells swivle hooks for hanging but if your poor like me, I found some swivle clips in the junk drawer. One end has a clip the other a ring. I put the clip on the rack and use an "S" hook in the ring. When I take thepart out of the booth I just unhook the "S" hook.

#3 - Should the box be vented with a exaust fan and filter to outside.
You can use an old vent-a-hood or an exhaust fan with an air conditioner filter on the booth side.

#4 - Am using a kitchen oven. What is the best way to hang objects for curing?

I only used a kitchen oven for a short time, but all I did was put the rack as high as it would go and hung them from it. You could use some screws and a couple of pieces of angle to make an even higher rack mount.

#5 - And last for now. Has anyone ever used a ceramic oven(clay ceramics) to cure in and will it mess things up for the clay works.

I ain't got a clue on that one, but I sure wouldn't want to upset the wife.
