The pnp is a great tool for small pieces but yes its just not economically feasible
if you can send me a pic of the part at
jimcarryeaton@yahoo.com and I can tell you better what the best course of action would be but I believe the best ways are to sand or polish out the scratch or to fill it in with solder or weld
