OK Ryan hope that helped. The more I thought about it You said you had three 2700 watt elements Instead of running 2 number 8's down and trying to parallel wire them three elements with just two male spades on each element. Run 6 number 12's down. There are 6 places to connect onto on the secondary side of that contactor. Just run one from each side of the contactor (two wires) to each element. It's alot easier to work with the small wire. It's up to you I think you got it now.

2700 div. by 240v = 11.25 amps. All you really need is 14 gauge. But go with 12 (stranded). Like my voc-tech teacher always said over wire and under fuse and you'll never have to sleep with your boots on.
