is the nickle plating kit appropriate for this?
i have tried to buff them, but some have the nickle worn off completely - dull metal underneath and the pieces are heavy

they are also pitted a bit, do i just have to keep buffing until it is smooth before plating?

this is for a 40's Wurlitzer
