We filed in NJ as an LLC and charge sales tax. We are a passthrough organization which means that we pass the profits through the corporation to ourselves thereby avoiding taxes for the company and adding it into our personal income taxes. This way we only pay taxes once. It was very easy to file and is much less complicated than you might think. For our situation it made the most sense, but you will need to take some time to read the advantages and disadvantages of each corp type and decide which is best for you. I got a great deal of info from the SBA, and they have people that you can call to help you if you would like.
