Any "bumps" could be ground out with cartridge rolls. You could get a nice clean radius around those connections with tapered rolls. You can't take _too_ much off, of course, so if there are deep pits, you're stuck with them.

Maybe fill them with a metallic filler. If you have it plated they could fill the pits with copper if you need a show finish.
