Default Re: Extreme Chrome with Clear Coat How to...

Hi Jim,

I powdercoated a 15 inch rim last night with Artic Ice and Clear. First, I baked the Artic Ice and baked that in my kitchen oven that I have moved into the garage. I had to spray the inside then the outside and bake. Then, I pulled the rim out and let the temp drop to 150 degrees and inverted the rim, as I baked it outside, or shiney side out and up on the oven's rack. I powdercoated the inside first and turned the rim over and got the rim back up to 150 degrees and then found I could attach the ground wire and get the powder to draw toward the rim, so I may have answered my own question.

That is to reconnect the ground wire and shoot away as the powder will stick whether or not the temp is 150 degrees.

Am I correct.

Thanks in advance, Tom
