Both Caswells Super Chrome and Near Chrome are a Polyurethane and they all need a Clear coat to protect the shine from UV-rays. Call the supplier and they will tell you the same. If you use the Chrome inside you do not need a clear coat.. Not trying to stir things here but I know what I have been told by other suppliers and all need a clear coat to be used outside..
