Three color fade
Hope this isnt bring up any old posts, but im trying to do a three color fade( yellow to orange to red (caswell dyes)). The part is about 13 inches long. I dyed the whole thing yellow for about 15 mins.Then 2/3 of it orange for 15 mins.It faded good,but when i dyed the last 1/3 red it didnt take the dye.I heard the domanint colors will over take the less dominant colors? Is it possible the pores were too filled up to take any more color? Should i do the first 2 steps then bleach out the color a little before the orange then do the red? Then to make it more interesting.... i want to mask and do the border in black. After i get the fade right should i do the mask then bleach the border then dye black? Will the bleach or acid rinse affect the masking(vinyl sticker)?
Any input would be much appreciated.
