Agree 100%, trying to cover up spots with bead blast works on a lot of things, even aluminum, that is until you anodize it, then the spots stick out bad like

One way I have found to cover the semi pitted surfaces is a brushed finish, this has worked the best for me, even then I try to get a better finish by sand paper, polish, etc
