Colors will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. What are you trying to match it to? If it's an existing color you will have a very hard time doing this. For instance I have a customer who wanted me to match a 1964 caddy blue. This became an impossible task because even with the original paint code it was just a little off. The only way to match was to have a custom batch made, but that's very expensive. If you're trying to match a texture to a nontextured paint or powder you won't be able to do it. At least not with conventional means. Again you're back to custom mixes. Solid colors are a little easier to match, but anything tinted, metallic, or textured is gonna give you fits. If you're trying to match to other parts the best approach might be to coat the other parts to match the pan. Thats what I did.
