I PC'd a TB as well a few weeks ago. But no issues with the bearings at all. Just removed the shaft and stuff I did break a screw for the plate but was easy just drilled the screw out and used a tap in the same size to get the little bit that I left as I drilled the bolt out smaller. Anyways I just used the green tape and taped off the bottom mounting of the TB as well as the bore of the TB. Also taped off the TPS and IAC sensor mounting stuff.
Coated it like normal baked it like normal and had no issues. It's on my car right now working great.
