Default Life Expectancy of Copy Cad

The sacrificial method of protecting steel parts with Copy Cad means the protection has a life span. About how long would this be? I am plating primarily nuts and bolts for use on a motorcycle that will probably never be ridden in the rain (acid, or otherwise). I know it varies with thickness, so give me a range of life expectancies, eg, 1-2 yrs or 30-50 yrs?
Thanks.
Scott
