well, spending a little money on buffing supplies and a cheap bench grinder will save you alot of time sanding by hand, although it probably won't eliminate it completely on some pieces. plus you won't spend as much on sandpaper and mothers lol. just to start out, get some black compound(emory), brown (tripoli), and white rouge. those will take care of alot of stuff. if you need something a little more aggressive get some greaseless compounds, but since your stuff is already polished quite a bit, you may not need that to start with. then get a few spiral sewn wheels. one each for black and brown. and one each for any greaseless compounds you get. get a loose cotton wheel for the white. this should get your stuff over that hump from almost to all the way.
