Your questions are more suited to a qualified gunsmith. You should be able to get it done in black. I don't know what the tolerances for the receiver to stock fit are. The company couldn't elaborate on what would be out of spec and why. That's a very vague statement. In anodizing, you are dealing with only a couple of thousandths of an inch. Sand blasting and painting will usually have the same or more change in dimensional measurements.
