Either of the Plug N' Plate Gold solution, or the FastGold will work fine.

Seriously, neither of these solutions should result in a gold layer that bothers the wearer. (That's what you meant, right?)
1-2 small bottles should be plenty. You could also buy some Cabosil powder that turns the solution into a Gel, making it less drippy and thus less wasteful.
