Default Re: Caswell's "Tinted Brass" and "Candy Gold "

Ok, second attempt. I used the Silverstone first. Set the gun voltage to 75,000 and put just enough powder on to cover the metal. Went through the normal cure cycle. Then I applied the canny gold to two pieces and the brass tint to two pieces. I cranked the voltage to 100,000. The gold barely stuck and did not cover hardly at all. The Brass tint covered better but did not cover well either. I went ahead and cured all the pieces. The gold one you can hardly tell I did a second coat on and the brass covered a little better but not well.?

The pieces all started out as bare metal, the Silverstone was applied to all the pieces equally and all at the same time. What am I missing?

Oh yes, before I did the second coat I took a die grinder to each one in a small area so that I had a good ground.
