I'm assuming you are doing silver first than red? I'd find it easier to do the red first(just enough to cover all you letters, bake,then spray the whole thing in silver. As long as the piece isnt hot when you spray it you can take your finger, a sponge or a wet rag and wipe the silver off the letter revealing them. To me that easier than trying to cut out all those letters and you dont even mess with tape.

I've never seen any residue left from Caswells tape on any powder.
