Im no electrician, but the hp on single phase should be the same as 3 ph. I have a 15hp ph converter. It runs a 5hp and 3hp buffing motors. You got to make sure you doulble the horse when you get the converter. If your going to get one of those cheaper static inverters without motor. You will expect to lose about half a horse on your buffer. So you figure that 3/4 hp will be a 1/2 hp. I would stick with single phase if your hp is that low. You need to get at least 3hp before your machine will stop bogging down. Then get a good rotary ph. converter then you wont lose hp. only on start up.
