Try getting some 1", 1 1/2" or 2" buffs either treated or untreated and put greaseless on them. As far as the casting marks go. I would try a diamond finger nail file! It cuts aluminum real quick so be careful as to not put to much pressure on it. Finish that with 150, 220, 320 grit paper on a sanding block, then use your greaseless. Load up about 3 or 4 buffs with greaseless that way you will be able to work longer.
