Default Re: Copy chrome concern

Thanks for the reply, Jim! Another question though. Is the copy chrome a nickel alloy or like somethig I read said, cobalt? And is it as easy to scratch as nickel would be with no chrome on it?
The tanks I was talking about are really wider than I said. I was going to partition off the required size with plastic pieces and silicone sealant. That way I could make a custom shaped tank for different stuff and still be able to get away with 4.5 gallons of electolyte. Does this make sense, or are there any cautions I should look out for. Maybe improper agitation or anodes too far from the work piece? I'm fairly new at the chrome end of things, but have been doing zinc plating for about 7 years. Maybe it's a matter of me knowing just enough to get into trouble! Thanks a lot for your thoughts, this is a great resourse for info on these plating kits.
