3M makes a product called Woodgrain and Stripe remover. this works great for removing all types of vinyl along with its adhesive even the vinyl that breaks off into little peices. Once this is sprayed on it, the vinyl will just peal off. Other wise, we often us a product called Rapid Remover to remove the glue residue.
