I have had 2 items returned now due to Cerakote burning and flaking off. I know they were not exceeding temp. WHen I got my quart of cerakote, teh particles were a solid mass in the bottom. I had to take a drill with a paint mixer and mix the **** outa it. I know it has a 6 month shelf life. I sprayed the first part the day I got the Cerekote. Could it be to old from sitting on Caswell Canada's shelve's
Either way, I am not impressed, got to redo both pieces now.
