Ya, I tell my customers that as well. They must be disassembled. I can dissasemble and reassemble for them, as I do mechanical repairs as wel, but that is added to the cost. Same with blocks, Complete tear down. Best time is AFTER machining, but before assembley. No cam bearings, no nothing installed in the block. Heads can have seats and guides installed, but that's it.
