Ya, I had my layers backwards on that I guess. So then, do the chrome first, then clear it. Easiest to do whole rim. Then, mask, spray black, half bake, till Flow Out. Then remove tape and final cure.
Any time you spray chrome, you need to clear it right away, it's 2 coats or nothin. It will start oxidizing immediately, and the longer it oxidizes, the duller it gets. I allways bake chrome half time, then shoot clear coat(or a transparent clear) hot, when part has cooled to just below 200*F
