Default Re: stripping powder coat

I have been using glass grit in my cabinet and it takes like 10 min just to blast a small 6X6 inch bracket both sides. Chemical stripping is a pain unless the part is easy to scrape afterwards. Having to strip powdercoating is the worse part when doing powdercoating! LOL

I have learned that when recoating a powdercoated part just etch the old part in the cabinet and coat on top. I have had no problems at all.
