Default Re: pouder coat touch up

Did the first trial on the techline product yesterday. I had a derby cover that fell off the table after I had coated it in mirror black. The edge chipped off about 3/4" around where it impacted the concrete. I took a small measurement of the product and mixed it per the instructions. You will need a small scale to weigh it properly. I then dabbed some on using a small hobby paint brush and let it completely dry. I then placed it in the oven and took it up to full cure temp. The results were great it flowed and cured just like powder. I then sanded it smooth and polished the area out.

I have in the past tried several products to touch up parts including acetone, lacquer thinner and water and none of those worked.

My next trial will be to use it as a filler for pits before powder coating a part.
