Cotton wheels OK. Spiral sewn or loose, depending on how hard you want it to cut. I like treated (yellow) bias cut for emery, but it's aggressive. After emery, I go spiral/white, then loose/white or flannel/white. Slower is better for the last step. Keep everything clean.

If I want to pimp it out I might go to flannel/red but it's too glitzy for my taste.
