Ha, yeah... good story about that;
Bought one of those cheap plastic welders from Harbor Frieght, and a full sheat of 1/4in HDPE.
Got it home and cut all the pieces and started welding. It was slow going, but seamed to work OK.
Set the tank up on saw horses and filled it with water.... DAMN, leaks!
Fixed leaks, and re-tested... more leaks.
Chased leaks around for many evenings, then gave up.
After searching on-line for pre-made tanks, I came accross a guy that welds plastic, and he's fairly local to me.
I re-cut all my pieces, and had him weld them up. It cost me $200 just for the welding, but I ended up with a tank exactly the dimensions I wanted for ~$300 total. It's 48in x 18in x 16in. I'll use three seperate PS's for multiple alloys/runs.
