You'll be better off using a SSR (Solid State Relay) rather than a contactor for heater loads. The SSR will switch on at the zero cross over and ramp on the cycle.

Your contactor has a 120vac relay coil. To use it, you'll need to use the J2 relay in the controller. DO NOT connect it to the SSR output terminals of the controller. The controller will RUN on 20-260vac and 120vac falls in that range to the best of my math. What is the voltage of your heater coil(s)?
