Just found this great forum, read Caswell's online manuals and last 12 pages of Metal Polishing Questions on this Forum to get a general feel for the technique I need to use to polish my 4 aluminum wheels while I am anxiously waiting for my order from Caswell to arrive today so I can start the project.

It seems you have done quite a bit of work already on your wheels and to me it seems stupid to let those efforts go to waste. I am a newbie to polishing but, unless the above description was a typo, I think that is your problem. The correct order from coursest to finest is BLACK, BROWN and WHITE. White should be last not brown.
