Red face Re: Can greaseless do the job? Pleasehelp

yeah i went back to the 150 grit to remove the 100. I am now at 220 grit (im reallly taking my time on this! I have no rush to fininsh them, cause i got spare rims in the shop)This is my very first time at polishing and the rims are for a trailer so its okay if they dont come out perfect.

As for the machine, i am using a variable speed electric sander/polisher whith
8 inch wheels. It is alot like an angle grinder. To put the compound in the wheel i turn on the machine and put the bar up to it until small chunks of the compound start flying off. Is this too much? Sorry for the dumb questions but i am completely new to this.
