You can get both cartridge rolls and greasless compound up to 320 grit, maybe 400 if you look around. If Caswell chooses not to offer the materials you need, that's what Google is for. If you go to greasless it'll be easier to avoid the ripples and gouges anyhow.

I wouldn't begin polishing with emery compound until you've gone at least to 320. For flat surfaces go to 600 if you can for a right nice mirror finish. But then I don't polish a lot of bronze.
