Nope not fun and not really healthy either. I suppose you were at least wearing a good mask so your not breathing the media and dust, that will kill you in years to come breathing it. Also surely Safety glasses too right.

When I have blasted like that I wear a clear full face shield, safety goggles, and safety glasses under the goggles. Media and dust like to get under glasses.
I had one of those rubber masks with cartriges for breathing.
I used to use a fresh cartrig as needed for painting and such for the chemicals, and often re-used them later for the mask I used for blasting. Since blasting is just dust I figured the used cartrig was still good as an air filter. Helped to cut costs allot that way, those cartriges were not cheap, But I figure the used ones were still better than just a paper cup type.
