Default Does anodizing too long cause problems?

I am trying to get a hard durable anodizing coat so I tried anodizing for about 1 hr 40 min. It does appear that I got a nice thick hard coat using the 2:1 water/acid concentration but the dying didn't turn out very well. My part has blotchy and streaky (and even mesh-type) areas that appear shiney when held under direct light.

The only difference here from previous parts was the length of time in the anodizing tank. I used about 1 hr 10 minutes for my other parts.
