Default Newbie here, got a question about clearing an engine block/heads..

....first great site and lots of good guys with great advice....I personally dont think I will actually do any PC, but I am building my 2nd tbucket and this time around I aint painting the frame, will go PC .... but my questions is this; this time around I building a 514 Caddy engine and am smoothing the block and heads before going to the machine shop.....I look at this and think, I wonder if clear PC will;

1) Look right and not yellow like I have heard
2) Last and not create a nightmare down the road...you can imagine what it would take to correct a problem once its built and has some run time on it

Anyone ever done and engine block with either clear or with the xtreme chrome I read about and have some pics of them? Ive seen some intakes on here that were "chromed" but all were sand cast and not smoothed, seen a lot of PC colored intakes, but wanted to see what clear looks like over smoothed cast.

Here is a pic of the Caddy block in progress now

Thanks in advance guys

ALSO, anyone recommend a GOOD QUALITY PC shop in the Dallas/Ft worth area...Ft Worth side preferably but will travel for quality.
