Ya, my l;uck with Lab Metal isn't good either. I have been in contact with the manufacturer and they say that no oven time before acctual baking. Even after cured for 24 hrs. Basically, spread, wait 24 hrs, sand and spread more. I just redid a Lab metal project with JB weld. And It takes about the same time to cure, 15 hrs for full cure. But it's working time is alot longer than Lab Metal. Meaning, you have more time to get it smooth so you have to sand less. JB weld is also tougher to sand than Lab Metal. So, smooth it out nicely before it cures=less work after
