I had a local sign company cut me some vinyl logos for masking parts, but every time I try to stick the vinyl to the part after dying it, the backing leaves a residue on the part. This residue keeps the underlying dye from bleaching out, which leaves a large area of the wrong color around the logo.

Any advice on how to keep this from happening?
