Of course it depends on how far you carry the sanding. I find it convenient to use the emery to finish levelling the surface since it cuts so well. Half the time triploi just leaves a haze so I skip it. To each his own.

I don't know if he was talking about the thickness of the wheels or the arbor size. Of course the wheel holes can be drilled out, or pvc sleeves used to reduce the hole size if necessary.
