Default Re: Valve cover polishing-time and effort

cheers mpierich i start by grealess 120 on a hard wheel which blitz the hard cast off to start with but thats a costly first stage really. £7 a bar in uk so trying to find the all important 1st stage super fast sanding. I think if i started at 220 or there abouts the 1st stage would take ages so i dont mind the extra stage.

what i would like to find though is grealess in a 600 grit, the polishing supply website i use only go up to 400, so i hand sanded a afm in 600 to see if it come out with a better result and it looked great.

And what do you mean use white rough on the hardened greaseless? coat a mop ( buff ) with grealess then lightly spin some white rouge on top of that? If yes, what does that do?
