The urethane base auto paints can generally handle up to about 300 degrees because of the binders but the waterborne paints can go much higher. They should be able to handle the temps of a urethane powder coat. (They use the same solids.) If I were to try this, I'd look into the water based auto paints. Standox and Dupont are big into the waterborne paints. Europe has been using it for years.
