if you put a candy over polished aluminium you don t need any clear coat on top , candy is a clear with a tint in it.
if you put a clear directly on polishing it will dull the finish a little , it will also amplify any defects or scratches on the polished surface . you shouldtake a few polished samples and do a few tests
