Default Re: How do I connecta regular home gas oven to a propane tank? Please Help!!!

i know the old oven we used had a name plate under the stove top panel that said natty or lp. with a little online research i found out i had to 1) flip a plastic plug in the regulator, and 2) screw the orifice down tight. i originally only flipped the regulator plug and the flame was orange and all kinds of dirty. screwing the orifice down (almost) tight brought it back to a nice blue clean flame. i had the same difficulty finding an adapter to let me use a propane connection. when we built the oven we plumbed it from scratch so i just used the fittings i needed instead of an adapter.
