Hi Sean. welcome. Good luck with the polishing - when you have questions, do a quick search in here so you get a few ideas, then feel free to ask.

If you're starting off cheap and simple (a good way), you might try some of these http://www.caswellplating.com/buffs/sanding_drums.htm - you can use them in a drill and make your own drums if you want. There are many other methods for getting smaller areas, but these are a quick and smple way to get started.
