Default Newbie with some ?'s on polishing.

Hey all, my name is Wes and am a avid auto enthusiast. Mainly Mustangs.
Anyhow, I have been reading a couple of the threads on polishing a supercharger and have a couple of questions. The terms greaselss compound, cartridge rolls, sewn buffs etc are all new to me. I recently decided to take on the task of polishing my Vortech Centrifical supercharger that was a dull satin alluminum finish. I started the old fashioned way with a couple of tips from some friends, using 100-1200 grit sandpaper followed by some metal polish. Its coming along pretty good, but damn....there has got to be a better way(lol). This is some tedious stuff. I do have a dremel and an old bench grinder. My question is where/who has some good attachments for the Dremel. I tried the BS home depot kit and its useless. Pads are way to small. Also how the hek can I polish in the small crevices that my fingers cant get in? Again, sorry if this is basic stuff, I just dont know much about metal polishing.
Thanks,
Wes
