The EEEE is an out of range error. It could be the TC or the values set in memory. Check to make sure your TC is connected correctly. It has a + and - and must match the PID terminals. I think on mine, the red is positive. If that doesn't clear the error, test your TC with a meter that reads millivolts.

The next step would be to go through all the memory locations and check the values. One of the units I got was set up for RTD input so that caused an error on start up. Can't help you with the "PASS". I know I've read that somewhere but can't find it now.
