Fred. I am having trouble finding mineral wool. I think that roxul flexibatt will work. The melt rating on it 1100 degreesC and 2500 degrees F.I think it is meneral wool insulation but it is just for houses. I am planning on going 6" thick walls. I would love to see pics. Do you have a fan?? I live in Canada and Mcmaster carr won't ship here, so I need to find another place to get a fan from. Again thanks so much.
