Default Re: Greaseless compound leaving "orange peel"

Maicojames,

In all likelihood the piece you're trying to polish has been media blasted at to high of an air pressure leaving an "orange peel" effect.

What kind of shape is the aluminum in that you are trying to polish? Are there deep scratches? Can you catch them with your fingernail on the scratches?
I would try taking the orange peel out using 320 grit greaseless, then polish with Emory on a sewn buff.
